Round 5 - Armenia 1,5 - 2,5 Russia
handshakeThe fifth round of the olympiad ended at 20:10 pm. The leading team Armenia played with the top rated Russia at the first board. It was the long-awaited match of the tournament and most followed battle during the fifth round. Armenian Team registered one draw at first and one victory at the second table and lost two points at third and fourth boards. They are still leading in the olympiad with 16 points. Azerbaijan and Iran played at the second table with each other. The fight ended with draw, so that Azerbaijan Team placed fourth with 13 points. Georgian Team recorded good results again. They won against another Turkish team - Red Team with 0,5-3,5 score. Thanks to this result, Georgia placed third with 13,5 points. Great performances coming from Czech Republic team at round fifth.  They defeated  India as 2,5-1,5 score and reached 12 points like Iran and Malaysia.  The photo report of the last round is waiting for you below;
